The purpose of this study were twofold: first, for the review centers to serve as an aid, to improve their qualities in different aspects, and to be aware of their shortcomings; second, for the students, to communicate their views regarding the qualities that review centers should possess. The results indicated that CPA Review School of the Philippines (CPAR) is the students’ preferred accountancy review center in Metro Manila. The result also indicated that the top five (5) qualities that review centers should possess are teaching strategies, passing rate, faculty, handouts and materials, and environment conducive to learning. Implications for the review schools and recommendations are discussed.

Students who are taking up Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) are expected to be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) someday. In order to be a CPA they need to pass the licensure examination for accountants, where they would need obtain a general average of seventy-five percent (75%), with no grades lower than sixty-five percent (65%) in any given subjects such as Theory of Accounts, Business Law and Taxation, Management Services, Auditing Theory, Auditing Problems, Practical Accounting Problems I, and Practical Accounting Problems II
Students need to study hard to pass the licensure examination. Most enroll in a review center to help them in reviewing all the subjects they need to take. In a survey of 529 students, 516 answered that they planned to enroll in a formal review course in a review center (table 4). This shows that 98% of the students prefer reviewing in a review school.
