1 INTRODUCTION

Brown Cleaners is a company, which specialises in supplying cleaning equipment for inner-city offices. The company has grown over the last 12 months but has incurred several negative effects over the past few months where the manager has realised that this company is in need of drastic changes.

The General Manager has accepted the need for change and has tasked an outside change agent, Amin Abdelrahim, and has tasked him to recommend a plan for implementation in which the change process will commence the next day.

A distinctive corporate culture is necessary to develop the organisations values and customs this is where a mission statement is required. The mission statement will help eliminate the ‘us and them’ attitude between workers and management as well as developing a new culture for this cleaning company.

After having a meeting with the general manager of the company, it has been approved that this will be the new mission statement:

Brown Cleaners recognized as the leading manufacturer of cleaning products. Providing responsive customer service, and treating our clients and employees alike with honesty and integrity. Fundamental to the success of our mission is:

Brown Cleaners and its representatives, will strive to assure our customers satisfaction. This will always be our number one priority. We want to be recognized as the most responsive, accurate, and skilled in the field of reliable cleaning products.
