In a competitive market, beside providing the fastest and best services to consumers - technologies is set to address for Race Course Road finest Indian eateries. Muthu's Curry and Gayatri Restaurant. Despite being "old establishment" 39 years old Muthu's Curry and 12 years old Gayatri, Muthu's Curry CEO pointed out "even the best fish head curry in Singapore can be ruined by 45-minutes wait for an entree or bill."

Although fast service is crucial, but how to get customer satisfaction and possible repeat patronage? This is what the both eateries have done.......

Both eateries waiters are being equipped with wireless gadgets to speed up the order-taking process.

Muthu's Curry staff attend customers by using PDAs, which transmit orders over WI-FI directly to any of the 5 kitchen printers in the restaurant. This saves them time, reduced the chances of any misplaced orders. The kitchen printers are seamlessly connected to the Point-Of-Sale (POS) system, which means no more waiting for waiters to tally and punch orders into the cash register. And also no more arguing whether customers are being wrongly billed as orders are captured by POS system the moment waiter inputs order in the PDA.

At Gayatri, waiters are armed with wireless phones which allow them to talk to one another and to the chef without having to walk into the kitchen.
