How Research is Used
Successful businesses focus around a cycle of continued research. Research can be defined as a methodical, structured method for finding answers to unsolved queries. The method of beginning research involves outlining a plan focusing in on detailed possibilities. While the conclusion can result in an assumption or another subject, it is imperative to find answers. In the process of research several questions will arise as to what conclusions may be drawn. In some cases research involves the process of eliminating inadequate information irrelevant to the hypothesis. On another note, extensive research may be needed when a theory is incorrect.
In chapter two of Business Research Methods, authors Donald R. Cooper and Pamela S. Schindler elaborate on the importance of business research. The authors write, “Business research is a systematic inquiry that provides information to guide managerial decision”, (Cooper&Schindler, 2006). Taking what the writers said into consideration, it would be safe to assume every business should encompass a method for research in an attempt to make high-quality industry decisions. It would be valuable if employees involved in a research project in the workplace are equipped with perceptive, authorative and rational ability. Possessing these skills will definitely aid in the process of eliminating and drawing a conclusion.
