Confucianism and Buddhism are two popular systems used in Eastern philosophy. These ideals both originated in China and are still very popular in the Eastern culture. Both of these philosophical ideals can be debated as being religious systems today. After further research on the two, Confucianism and Buddhism are more in line with philosophical systems. They are similar in that they were both created on the thoughts and experiences of their founders in society, Confucius and Buddha. They both rely on certain rules that followers need to obey in order to sustain happiness and stability in life on earth. Their main goals are to organize people’s attitudes and good-nature characteristics towards each other and society as a whole. Nature is important with Confucianism and Buddhism because an individuals goal is to become one with nature and work in harmony. Peace and good behavior are also qualities that one seeks when following Confucianism and Buddhism. Ironically Buddha and Confucius both lived around the same era.
