      Buddhism is not a religion of God it is a spiritual religion of wisdom, enlightenment, and compassion. Buddhism is a religion that offers peace and tranquility through the practices; of meditation, study, respect for all things nature and people. In following these beliefs, a person will be able to control their destiny and karma. The life a person lives determines their next life also known as reincarnation (Fisher, 2005). Buddhist does not believe in violence, lying, killing, stealing, cheating, immoral sexual conduct, or eating meat. The research in this paper will show the history of Buddhism, the evolving of Buddhism through the thousands of years, the teaching of Buddhism in Garland, Texas, and the comparison of the Hinduism Religion
    First, let us get started with the central beliefs of Buddhism. Siddhartha Guatama (Buddha), his spiritual practices were influenced by his child hood experiences. As a child, he was raised to believe that he was a miracle conception and his name meant "wishfulfiller.” Buddha was also from an extremely rich environment whose family honored the ancient Hindu and who claimed their ancestors were spiritual guides. With Buddha brought up with a strict religious background of Hinduism: Meditation, Karma, reincarnation, and sacrificial rituals were already way of life for him (Fisher, 2005).
    It sounds like he had a very sheltered childhood and pampered life yet needed to find his value and purpose in life. For a man to see death, sickness, or a crippled elderly man it must have had a great affect on ...
