Book Of Genesis

The book of Genesis is the book that has records of creation. It tells the history of the creation of our planet earth and the creation of the first human beings. The book of Genesis also talks about the first rebellious acts against God. One of those acts being Eve and the forbidden fruit is one of controversial topics one could come across when discussing the book of Genesis.

In the book of genesis, it says that Eve ate from the tree of good and evil when God commanded her not to. As for me it was a confusing statement and raised the question; does this mean that a woman caused the first sin in the world that eventually led us to suffer for the rest of our lives and being deprived of Heaven?

God gave Adam and Eve a wonderful place to live, where all of their needs were met to the fullest. They had every worldly thing to satisfy them and more. God gave Adam one command and warning: “You may eat the fruit of any tree in the garden except the tree that gives knowledge…...” and He gave Adam the reason: “If you do, you will die the same day.” He lovingly told Adam everything he needed to know in order to continue living his life in paradise forever. He did not trick Adam. Adam sinned against God while fully understanding the command and the consequence for his sin. God gave Adam a choice; live in utter contentment in the garden with his God and his beautiful wife and be blessed. God didn’t make Adam sin and He didn’t make Adam mind; it was Adam’s choice. Adam wanted more than God provided. He was sure he would be happier if he did it his own way.
