The environmental rankings of electronic makers are currently raising consumer awareness. Greenpeace, a company started by a handful of determined activists, is a leading campaigning organization that uses peaceful direct action and creative communication to expose global environmental problems and to promote solutions that are essential to a green and peaceful future (Greenpeace). They have recently exposed environmental problems that will affect major electronic corporations around the world such as, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Nintendo, Dell and Sony. These companies are all using toxic chemicals in their video game consoles and other products.
The Human Resource Management and Executive teams for these companies are collaborating ideas on goal setting and implementing a strategic plan to eliminate bad press and provide chemical free products. All consumer electronic companies need to change with the environment and the growing demand for eco-friendly products. Dell and HP are publicizing to stop using brominate flame-retardants and polyvinyl chloride by 2009; where as Microsoft and Nintendo have a comparatively late date of 2011 (Greenpeace).
While the electronics industry is adapting to the demand and market competitively so is InterClean, Inc, who is in the cleaning and sanitation industry. With all the changes in government regulations and demand for full service solution packages in the sanitation industry InterClean is developing an all-inclusive service.
