Introduction:
Included in this paper will be recommendations for the Bead Bar Studios to make a transition from a paper-based company to a data-base information system company. Recommendations will include which type of data-base will be best suited for the companies needs, the type of software recommended and which media network will be best suited for the Bead Bar Studio’s needs. We will also discuss the network topology and architecture that is recommended and will include their advantages and disadvantages.
Background:
The Bead Bar Studio wants to make a transition from being a paper-based company to using a data-based information system. The Bead Bar can become more efficient and competitive by converting to a data-based system. Converting to a data-based system will allow the Bead Bar Studio’s to stream-line their operations which can reduce costs and increase profits. By transitioning from being a paper-based company to a data-based company, the Bead Bar Studio’s will be able to expand their business to a worldwide business. In the digital world, the size of the company does not matter, so with the new data-based system the Bead Bar Studio’s customer base prospect will be limitless.
Recommendation Overview:
We have determined that from talking with Merdith (President and owner) of the Bead Bar Studio’s that she wants to move the Bead Bar from using paper-based records to a data-base system.
