Bangladesh Railway

Preface

This report is based on the need for HRM practice in Bangladesh Railway. This government organization is now operating in loss for several years. As long as the costs have been increased the losses have also been increased along with its poor operating performance. This organization has nearly failed to create a value among its stakeholders. The main reason behind it lies in its management structure. The communication process in the managerial level and decision making level is too complicated. The overall monitoring of the works has not been seen in this organization. The continued failure in this sector is its only drawback among its stakeholders. As this company does not have any interest to implement long term effective policies they need to take the responsibilities of its past failures. The need of an HR department in this organization is must. Activities related to daily duties have to be improved. British colonization has huge pressure on changing its structure for the need of this century. The unnecessary tracks and schedule have been made the way more slippery for them. Consecutive operating losses should be prevented for a better image and performance.

The unnecessary setup of the tracks has been changed, improved training process has to be increased, failure in duties has to be monitored and along with this the new activities for profit have been implemented in this organization. New non operating activities like tree plantation can be introduced in its adjacent lands of tracks. This report will focus in details about its reformation and for an improved HR Department in it.
