Analysis of Team Charter
In order to establish a learning team and work effectively together, the learning team should get to know each other personally and how each team member works professionally. A quick method of getting to know each team member in these areas is by discussing self-assessments’ analysis, which help show each team members’ skills, abilities, and interests. Once discussed, the learning team creates a learning team charter (LTC) that states the team’s mission in which each team member can reflect on to improve performance. This paper will explain how the LTC emphasizes delegating, listening, and time management as some of the beginning factors for high performance.
Learning Team Charter
“Chartering is the procedure by which a team meets at the beginning of its process to describe its mission or task, set its goals, secure commitment by members to the achievement of those goals, make its plans, and allocate its resources (University of Phoenix, 2004, pg. 7). After completing the LTC, the bottom mission for all team members is to play an important role according to the level of their skills and personality. Each team member will participate and improve his or her performance through experiences with the team.
Delegating
In order to meet goals, objectives, and ensure that all work is accomplished, the team will perform best by delegating assignments to members accordingly to each member’s skills and personality. The ENTJ personality and high emotional intelligence (EI) member can be maximized to direct the group into order, which will be very beneficial to the team.
