Executive Summary

Information systems are created to provide useful and important information to businesses. It can also be said that information system are meant to provide the right information at the right time to the right people.

Information systems are procedures that collect, processes, stores, analyze and disseminate information for specific purposes. This is done through a combination of hardware, software, people and procedures.

Majority of companies uses information system, and OSIM is one of them. The supply chain is computerized; every purchase, sales or inventory check is entered into the company’s system. Inventory checks are done daily and stock replenished as soon as a sales is made.

However, though OSIM is using up-to-date technology, this doesn’t mean that there is not any risk involved. Threats exists both internally and externally. Also, there is also always a marginal room left for improvement.
