A Guide To Mark's Gospel

Date - (67-72, and he highlighted 69 as the most likely date) AD
Occasion-
Fall of Temple in Jerusalem
Roman-Jewish war in Palestine
Roman persecution under Nero

Audience-Jewish and Gentile Christians

(Note, not Gentile Jews, just 'Jews')

A biography is more than a list of impersonal facts (like birth, education, work, relationships and death); it also portrays the subject's experience of those events.

b.)    Parable- A parable is a brief, succinct story, in prose or verse that illustrates a moral or religious lesson. It differs from a fable in that fables use animals, plants, inanimate objects, and forces of nature as actors while parables generally are stories featuring human actors or agents.
